PRE-TREATMENT
PURPOSE
The purpose of this procedure is to improve a "gummy smile" because your teeth may appear short based on your overall face dimensions. Your teeth may actually be the proper lengths but are covered up by excessive gum tissue.
DURING TREATMENT
PROCEDURE DETAILS
- One to two hours in length with the use of local anesthetic.
- Excess gum and bone tissue is reshaped either using traditional methods or through laser therapy to expose more of the natural tooth.
POST-TREATMENT
RECOVERY TIME
Approximately 1-2 days. Every patient differs on level of discomfort tolerance.

PRE-TREATMENT
PURPOSE
The purpose of this procedure is to expose greater tooth structure (due to a broken tooth or extensive decay) in order for your dentist to be able to place a crown without impinging on the level of the bone.
DURING TREATMENT
PROCEDURE DETAILS
- One to two hours in length with the use of local anesthetic.
- Removal of both gum tissue and underlying bone structure to provide for additional crown space.
POST-TREATMENT
