TREAT THE EARLY STAGES OF GUM DISEASE

Plaque and tartar left on the teeth help to create conditions in the mouth for bacteria to thrive in. These bacteria irritate and inflame the gums, causing them to bleed more easily. You might notice that your gums bleed a bit while brushing your teeth or eating. This condition is the early stage of the gym disease known as gingivitis.

If you suffer from gingivitis your dentist or dental hygienist will clean and polish your teeth by scaling them. In addition, they may also advise an antiseptic mouthwash containing chlorhexidine, and instruct you on how to brush and floss your teeth more effectively. The majority of adults have gum disease to some degree.
